The King of Fighters 2003: A Fighting Tournament with a Twist
The King of Fighters 2003 is a full version action game developed by SNK for PlayStation 4. The game revolves around an elite fighting tournament sponsored by an unknown patron, with the identity of the sponsor becoming a matter of public interest in the country. The game's narrative is divided into two paths, one of which features a clone of returning warrior Kyo Kusanagi named Kusanagi, and the other reveals Kusanagi was created by Chizuru Kagura to test the winner.
Once the player defeats Kusanagi, they face Adelheid, who is accompanied by his sister Rose. Once Adelheid is defeated, Rose threatens the winner with locking them in the area. On the alternative path, Chizuru and her undead sister Maki challenge the player to a boss fight. Following the Kagura sisters' defeat, a woman named Botan reveals herself as the true mastermind behind the tournament, having brainwashed Chizuru. Botan's partner, Mukai, becomes the final boss and, despite being defeated, claims success for his superior, having weakened the seal of the ancient demon Orochi.
